Not for the first time in the Lodge’s history, but certainly in living memory, a double Initiation was carried out at Athelstan Lodge on Thursday, 7 February 2013.

Brothers Andrew (26) and Mathew Keeling (24), both agricultural engineers based at Wishaw, became the latest members of the Lodge and Brethren in Freemasonry, with many members of their family looking on.

We are now assured of an excellent piper at our Burns’ Night Suppers; Andrew is a skilled player of the bagpipes, as we can attest from his performances at previous events.

W Bro John Lockhart was also added to the Lodge’s ranks by being admitted as a Joining Member at the meeting on Thursday, 7 March.
